Matt and Olivia contacted us to arrange an engagement session after they were they high bidder in an auction supporting the Long Beach Youth Choir's fund raiser. We donated a gift certificate for a session which we love to do to support worthy causes. We had never met the couple prior to their session so there were a few anxious moments not knowing what to expect. We usually have a pre-session meeting and talk about what the couples expectations are and how best we can capture their relationship, and personalities. In this case we asked that they send us images that they found that best reflected their taste. We met at the famed lighthouse in Shoreline Village hoping to make the session by 6:30 in the evening. Unfortunately we all ran into heavy traffic and what should have taken only minutes to get to our destination took more than 30 minutes to arrive. As you can see with these images the sun was setting very quickly allowing only a very few precious minutes of sunlight. Wind was another major issue we were dealing with, and so our confidence was starting to wane not knowing how well the images we were capturing was going to turn out. Thank God when we released these images for Olivia and Matt to see, the first comment out of Olivia's mouth was these photos are amazing you guys really captured our relationship and personalities. So here are a few of these images we captured on a very cold and windy night last week.
